This piece is successful because I enhanced the features of this lovely lady. Blurring her skin tone was a challenge and some areas look a tad blotchy but it does look a lot better than it did before. I removed the ugly blemishes on her face and darkened her features to make her face more dramatic.
This piece helped advance my skills in facial retouching in photoshop.

Chogging Sunflower
Uh oh this flower is gettin' sick..wonder what it ate for lunch. This piece is successful because I used paint splats coming out of the flower and i used a complementary color scheme. If I were to do this again I would use an animal instead of a plant. The most difficult part of this project was getting the colors in the splats just right so that they matched the petals. This piece taught me how to make another image look like its part of another object.

RGB Color Wheel
Vroom Vroom. This piece is successful because it shows the progression through the RGB color wheel. It was difficult to arrange the cars but easier to add the actual color to them. If doing this project again I would arrange the cars in another way. This piece taught me how to overlay another picture onto another layer to change the colors.

Poker Anyone?
These are playing cards. This piece is successful because the colors used blend well together. At first when choosing my picture I picked ones that kept having random black spots in the background. Eventually I found cards that had a clear outline which made it easy to tell what the object is. If I was to redo this assignment I would change the colors used and maybe add a pattern. The hardest part of this assignment was deciding on which colors I wanted to use. This piece taught me how to colorize.

Albino Horse-Squirrel
This is the albino horse-squirrel. It's an extremely rare breed of squirrel. The color of the squirrel body and the horse head were similar so combining them was easy but transferring the horse image onto the squirrel was difficult. If I was going to do this again I would give the horse-squirrel a hoof. This piece taught me how to make non-furry animals appear to be furry.
