Mean Girls

I don't think my dad, the INVENTOR of Toaster Strudel, would be too pleased to hear about this.

Mummified Audrey

This is a picture of Audrey Hepburn drawn with scribbles.

The Godmother Movie Poster

This is a movie poster for The Godmother. I changed the Godfather to godmother and placed a picture of Cinderella's fairy godmother in place of the gangster.

The Incredible Harley-Quinn

This is a combination of the evil villain from batman, Harley-Quinn and the superhero, Violet, from the Incredibles.I made Violets lips black and made her eyes look angrier to give her a villainous face. I also added the incredibles logo onto Harley-Quinn's bomb.

Grapefruit Goldfish

this is the grapefruit goldfish. I sliced the fish with photoshop and inserted an image of a grapefruit into its body. I also foreshortened the grapefruit slice so that it looked as if it was at the angle of the fish's body. wahoo.

"Kinder the Monster" Box Design

I designed this box front and back to go along with the monster idea drawn by Gabi. Looks like fun to me.

For this project I recreated a kindergartener's drawing of a monster by combining objects from everyday life.

Audrey Hepburn Typography

This is my first typography project. I chose to do a portrait of Audrey Hepburn because she has been one of my greatest inspirations as a person since I was a little girl. This project took me a little while to complete because theres a lotta words in there. It was tricky at first to determine which areas of the face should include smaller type and which should be larger to get the right effect. In the end I think it turned out pretty nicely.

Katy Perry Retouch

This is my Katy Perry Retouch. I cleaned up her unruly hair, whitened her smile, and made her thinner. I also changed her eye color and darkened her lips. I think this piece is pretty successful.

Retouch

This piece is successful because I enhanced the features of this lovely lady. Blurring her skin tone was a challenge and some areas look a tad blotchy but it does look a lot better than it did before. I removed the ugly blemishes on her face and darkened her features to make her face more dramatic.
This piece helped advance my skills in facial retouching in photoshop.

Transformation

Before&After. This piece is successful because this chick was transformed into a somewhat decent looking person although somethings cant be helped. It was difficult to make her not look like Michael Jackson. This piece taught me that lightening skin color doesnt always help.

Chogging Sunflower

Uh oh this flower is gettin' sick..wonder what it ate for lunch. This piece is successful because I used paint splats coming out of the flower and i used a complementary color scheme. If I were to do this again I would use an animal instead of a plant. The most difficult part of this project was getting the colors in the splats just right so that they matched the petals. This piece taught me how to make another image look like its part of another object.

RGB Color Wheel

Vroom Vroom. This piece is successful because it shows the progression through the RGB color wheel. It was difficult to arrange the cars but easier to add the actual color to them. If doing this project again I would arrange the cars in another way. This piece taught me how to overlay another picture onto another layer to change the colors.

Poker Anyone?

These are playing cards. This piece is successful because the colors used blend well together. At first when choosing my picture I picked ones that kept having random black spots in the background. Eventually I found cards that had a clear outline which made it easy to tell what the object is. If I was to redo this assignment I would change the colors used and maybe add a pattern. The hardest part of this assignment was deciding on which colors I wanted to use. This piece taught me how to colorize.

Albino Horse-Squirrel

This is the albino horse-squirrel. It's an extremely rare breed of squirrel. The color of the squirrel body and the horse head were similar so combining them was easy but transferring the horse image onto the squirrel was difficult. If I was going to do this again I would give the horse-squirrel a hoof. This piece taught me how to make non-furry animals appear to be furry.

Splatter Paint Penguino

.Oh no! someone spilled paint on this poor penguin! was able to use the warp tool the wrap the splatter paint around the body of the penguin but making the splatter itself look believable was difficult. If I made this again I would try a different splatter design on my animal to see better results. The most difficult part of this was erasing the right areas of the paint. This piece taught me how to warp images to fit the contours of another object.

Frog Tongue

This looks pretty tastyy! This piece is successful because the chick clearly has a believable frog tongue. I was able to copy the tongue color onto the frog image but it was difficult to not get the lip color not to copy.  If I was doing this again i would change the shadows around the tip of the tongue to add more depth. The most difficult part of this project was putting the frog image on the tongue image. From this piece I learned how to change the overall color of objects.

Angry Pancake

This pancake certainly is angry. This piece is successful because I was able to complete it. It was my first assignment so it looks a little rough but I think that the teeth are a little believable. The coloring of the fish scales didn't turn out the way i was hoping. They still look a little green. If I were to do this project again I would consider adding something else to it, like maybe some angry eyes to go along with the angry teeth. The most difficult part was making the jaws look like they could actually be part of the pancake. I learned how to use photo shop.

Clone Project

I really enjoy having quality conversations with myself.. I believe that this piece is pretty good seeing as it is one of my first projects in photo shop. At first transferring the images to the background layer was difficult, but eventually I was able to incorporate all of my shadows. If i were to do this project again i would change the location of where i took my pictures to create a little more interest. The hardest part about making this piece was working with the overlapping images. I learned that photo shop isn't as difficult as I thought..
